cant logon to server after installing DNS Server

    Hello,
just installed a DNS server on one of our servers, as i only wanted a single name resolution for our office.

after i restarted, i cannot logon to the system anymore , it mentions " the system could not log you on make sure username and domain are correct"

i was not aware that when installing a DNS server it automatically created or becomes related to a domain.

can anyone help to either revert back or log into the local user instead?

System is Windows 2003 server Enterprise Edition

You need to add the IP Address of the server to your DNS server.

the issue is occuring on the dns server itself.-1 i installed the DNS component on the server itself.

example:- server 192.168.0.1 was a simple 2003 server - on that same server, i added windows component (DNS)- i set it up- restarted, and after restart i cant login. - i did not have a domain before that, i though i can use the DNS regarldess of a domian

Can't tell what the problem might be from here. Restore the last backup before you installed the DNS component.
