    Because once it is know that they are female, one of two things usually happens:
    1: They are harassed and belittled to the point that they don't want to post any more.
    2: They are hit on, and flirted with to the point that they don't want to post any more.
    Actually not necessarily.

    At another forum I visit (www.techimo.com), there are 4-5 female members - including a mod - who openly say they are female....

    Only the utmost respect for them, too.

    IMHO, a forum where females are picked on is a forum that is not modded well (ie, no discipline).

    Hmmmm a timo avatar here at sysopt. know if I or anyone else showed up over there with a extremedc or a sysopt avatar we be hassled about it, like I said befor about most memebrs there, 99% all 2 faced and back stappers..
