laptop cpu wont seat
i have an emachines 400k it has a k6-2 400 cpu. i was going to replace it with a 500 i had lying around. when i pulled the chip out it took a little force now it wont go back in. its not a zif socket, it has holes where you screw the cpu and heat sink togather and i can see the seats where the pins are supposed to go.

Mod w/ an attitude
If it does not fit properly, then it does not belong in there.
Never force a part.

i cant get the old 400 prosessor to seat. the holes in the socket are not round they are elongated and you can see the tiny metal slots they go into but the pins wont touch.
