    Overclock or not?

I'm thinking about clocking my cpu but i need some advice if it's worth. I got a Pentium III 733 Mhz @ 133 Mhz with 512 mb Ram @ 133 Mhz.

When i don't clock it and i use my cpu at 100 % for 1 hour the temperature is 40 degrees. But when i clock it to FSB 147 Mhz and do exactly the same thing, it's still on 40 degrees.

does this mean i can overclock my cpu easily?

well overclocking your FSB is easier and it seems less risky but you dont overclock it as high

overclocking the FSB is totaly worth it in my opinion, unlocking a CPU and overclocking the multiplyer seems a little risky and if it breaks down you cant just switch it back its original speed then claim it just broke and you didnt overclock it

When I overclock with FSB, my scanner on a USB port is not recognized. By using the multiplier, only the processor is getting effected. I would try a combination of both settings until something breaks. Be warned that you could break something permanently, so be careful.

Since you have a pIII @ 133 bus...you are gonna be limited by the amount of FBS you can push. 150 MAYBE 155 with good crucial ram and hardware is going to be about maximum. The bus is to much for the motherbaord to handle.
