Norton Disk Doctor in Norton Utilities is quite fast and much more thorough than Scandisk.

    Hi Explorer thanks for replaying
I have Norton utilyties and with him also N.Disk doctor, but it's also slow(mabey because it's old version). I was yust wodering if some faster program exist for that kind of problems(witch mabey dont check bad sector so many times or mabey have command "mark this cilider bad" or similar(e.x. when user see that program witch scans disk is stoped on some cilider and checking and overcheking and..... yust to press that buton and mark bad cilinder ).
Mabey I'm yust imagining but mabey somethig like that exists?!?!

p.s.I have some HDD wich have bad sectors and when I format him I need of corse to fix bad sectors and that can be 1 day long(or more(2,3,...)).
I know that I should through that HDD out but it's good in situations like this when 40GB disk is dead and cant be fixed.
