    HOw to identify a Video Card with no name

    Got a free AGP video card with no name, it runs but a 256 colors.

    There's a green HS on it,, does that help

    Can ya get a prog to identify it ?

    Best way is to get SiSoft Sandra (do a search on software sites, www.download.com ) and look under "PCI/AGP bus", you'll see the name in "Vendor" or other lines.

    You could also try IDing it by the FCC ID sticker on the card, and going here:
    http://www.windrivers.com/company.htm
    About 1/2way down the page, on the right is the FCC ID search functions...

    See if there's a logo as soon as the power comes on to the computer. Sometimes there's some info on the BIOS chip.

    Also, does Windows recognize it as anything?
