well, all fine and nice, but, you do get what you pay for.. I rather spend a little more and get top grade ram. my four systems hate the cheap stuff with a passion. bsod all the time with cheap ram.

I agree with "Madfish" above, that cheap generic brand sdram memory causes errors in system. For example, cheap PC133 sdram "can't" handle CAS-To-RAS Latency 2 @ clock speed 133 or else system refuses to boot. So cheap PC133 runs approximately 112 mhz @ CAS-To-RAS Latency 2, not @ 133. Next, Cheap memory limits overclocking cpu speed potential. Beware of cheap sdram they aren't quality checked and have a higher failure rate than quality namebran ones. I think it's wise to invest little bit more money and purchase quality sdram, such as Infineon, Corsair, Kingmax, or Mushkin.

Yeah... I've heard good things about Crucial. Heard that their CAS 3 RAM can be made to run at CAS 2.5 or even 2 on some motherboards. Add to that their very reasonable prices, their guaranteed money-back policy, and the free shipping, you can't go wrong with Crucial.

Double-Thumbs, and hell two big toes up for crucial!! I've ordered from them twice(April, October) in the past year for 128MB modules for my PC. Each time got 2nd Day Air from FedEx for FREE!!(and yes it was there within the two business day time limit!!). Hell, I looked back at my receipts from the first time I bought from them and (of course) the price was half of what I paid back in April...Good things come to those who wait!!

Also if you've got a need for proprietory, you can look up what module you might need for your system with their search engine!

Crucial is great. Good, guaranteed RAM, good prices, and usually
    free 2-day shipping.
Well, looks like RAM has finally gone up - glad I secured 3 - 256MB
sticks of PC2100 at the low point of $29.67(?) .Now it's doubled
in price, but still a bargain compared to this time last year.
