Whats ADSL all about??
As the subject states, whats the hype about ADSL and is it the same as DSL? I do know it costs about £250 to install and £40 a month to run. Also it is connected through your existing phone line, so if it is how can you use your phone if its connected all the time? Also i know it downloads at upto 500Kbps and uploads at up to 250Kbps. Please explain it more to me!

ADSL stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line.
It does run through your phone line, but the part of the phone line that your phone uses is only a small portion of the line. ADSL uses the other portion that is unused to transfer its data. This way, you can talk on the same line while surfing on the internet.
