about the fading start menu on windows 2000

is there a possible way to have that fading effect on windows 2000 to win me? I mean the menu: control panel/display/effects and the transition on fade in and out of the menus i.e. start/programs etc.

I use TweakUI (Tweak User Interface) on Win Y2K. It works great. You will find all that you need:

You could access Display Properties, Effects tab, take the check out of "Use transition effects on menus and tool tips".

    Cheers!

I tried tweakui but still cant find/do the fade in/out of the menus, what im saying is the effects on windows 2000 try finding it out click start/settings/control panel/display/effects you will see a box right beside the "use transition effects for menus and tooltips" there is a menu for "fade in/out" stuff, this time what i mean is can i make WinME do that effect cause in WinME there no menu about the fade in/out of the menus

I'm sorry Battousai^. I read it as you not wanting the fade effect. I got rid of it on my machine right away. It slowed things down conciderably. I turn off all menu animations.

    Cheers!
