    Just got this Radeon 8500 and it seems to be a fine card; now I need a new DDR MB to go with it. Still not bad for a nearly year old board and an overclocked 1 Gig chip.Mad Onion ScoreLink

    Yes I have a kk266 with a 1 Gig at 10@151 CAS 2-2-2. The Radeon is at 300/300 and it can go higher but since it is new do not feel like pushing it too much.
    Once you unlock your CPU and get your FSB up a little;play with the memory timings your scores are going to jump way up. The Radeon is a good card but your system will scorch mine with a little tweaking.

    After some additional OCing of my GF2MX400 with 64MB RAM, I've got better results (results are in 3DMarks 2001):
    Previous: 220/420 - 2777 3DMarks;
    Overclocked: 225/430 - 2843 3DMarks.

    I can get even higher and reach the pure GF2 results, but I need a HS to my RAM and FAN to my GPU (the card I've bought has only HS on the GPU, and works just perfectly even OCed to 220/420 ).

    Sweet, I thought I was low but pretty average. I truly believe my ntfs formatted hdd is hurting me but here goes:

    T-Bird 1100 Mhz Slot A
    512 M Crucial(Micron for those who care)
    Abit KT-7 Mobo
    Radeon 64ddr vivo
    WinXP

    3DMark2001 = 3147

    Since we are on the topic, whats up with the people on mad onions' site that hit like 12000? Something is definately up there.
