I've awakened next to some pretty strange things but...

On this past weekend fishing trip, while staying at Cattleguard campground in the Tioga Pass, I awakened to find that a group of campers had brought their llamas with them:

So I just couldn't resist a photo with "Cuzco" (Michi):

The house pet that keeps on giving - after they die, you can always use the skin to cover up the furniture they chewed up.......

Were they being used as pack animals?

Looks like a beautiful place to camp - if not too comfortable....

I went camping in George Washington National Forest in West Virginia a few years ago. A group of hikers there had a few llamas with them as well. They are quite friendly animals and I was also amazed by them. I didn't get a picture but I have never forgotten them.

Actually it was rabbit pellets that the llama like as a snack, which was supplied by the animal's handler/owner ... but now removed to avoid confusion...
