    Free screen shot program?

    any recomendations? There has to be a better way than the round about way I'm doing it..

    I've used ScreenRip32 (freeware) in the past.... it's OK.

    <print screen> and <Alt><print screen> seem to be all I use anymore though, it's just as easy to paste the clipboard contents into a decent graphic program as it is to open another app.

    To elaborate on fingers alt-printscreen combo... That will take a screenshot of the current window only. Very useful.

    Since youre probally in windows it isnt much use, but the
    ScreenShooter Gnome applet is cool.

    i think there is a version of GIMP for windows and if you are using linux you probably already have it installed.

    Yeah, gimp's built in screenshot comes in handy. It has a timer.

    I've got GIMP for Windows. It crashed and wont load now. I haven't replaced it since I'm using Linux on another comp.
    This will all be over before you can say Cat in a Hat.
