COuld have been worse...

If you havn't heard, two nights ago my motherboard died. Well, it's been sent back to the distributor - I'm expecting something to happen in about 14days. Long time with no deathmatching. Plus, to make it worse, my V2 sli rig arrived today, making me sooooo anxious to get my new board. Ah well.

Hmmm V2 SLI... nice... I have 2 Diamond Monster 3D II 8Mb "sleeping" in one of my draw... still dunno what I am going to do with those, as I have a G400MAX in my Gaming Machine...

Your going to love that V2 SLI alpha! Soldier of fortune runs like butter on my K6-2 400 w/h Dual Monster 3D II's @ 12 meg. If you notice any lockups due to heat issues, check out the stealth V2 cooler, I bought 2 of them, works flawlessly. My system sounds like the runway at JFK with all the fans I have in my case, but the 3d cards still lock up without the V2 cooler. have fun.

Glad to hear you are getting it replaced, what make of mobo was it anyway?. You can always pass the time by putting extra cooling on your sli rig .

Not even sure if the board's definetly being replaced, but it should be. I'm hoping to change the k6-2 for a C366@550, but I can't till I get a new board to trade in. I can't really start cooling the V2s - I have to get some cooling stuff from millisec.com - I can't until I see if my budget for getting a Celeron allows me to.

I've a good flow of air out the back of my case, I'll hopefully be ok with the v2s - one of the card's memory is rated at 110mhz!
