    A Compaq 486 from a DX250mhz to DX266mhz.Although that was my first pc oc. I did play around with the an Apple IIc back in the 80s and did get it running a bit smoother than it did out of the box.

    I had an 8086-1 (-1 for math co-cpu) in the mid-80's from a company that specialized in unusual hardware designs. They implemented their own clocking scheme, and allowed for turbo operation of the old 8086 4.77mhz cpu. At turbo it clocked 10mhz, a speed increase of over 2x!

    I think I may be one of the few, that started with a performance machine! My one and almost only overclock is a P III 500 @ 667.

    Pentium 200MMX, to 250MHz, stable for 2 months so i tried for 292MHz, stable for a few days, but decided to bring it down due to heat.

    1st - Intel 486DX2/66mhz overclocked to 80mhz.

    2nd - AMD 486DX4/100mhz overclocked to 120mhz.

    3rd - AMD K6/166mhz overclocked to 225/233mhz.

    After those eveything kinda becomes a blur...I just know I started applying the theory of overclocking to EVERYTHING; electric guitars, amps, r/c cars, cordless power tools, toasters, whatever.

    (btw, I've lost track of the DX4, but I know for a fact that the DX2@80mhz and the K6@225mhz are both still kickin' and getting used on a daily basis.)

    My first overclock was an 8088 from 4.77Mhz to 12Mhz. Replacing the crystal on an IBM PC motherboard was fun, let me tell ya. That chip got replaced by an NEC V20 10Mhz running at the same 12Mhz. Blazing speed for playing all those heavy duty games like PC-MAN, Starflight, and Temple of Apshai.

    1st : p200mmx@225
    2nd : cel333@416
    3rd : p3-550(katmai)@616

    I also had a p133 which I later found out was a remarked p120. does that count as overclocking?

    Cool

    Brydon: Do you mean you've had the overclocking bug or the F0 FPU bug eversince j/k

    My first was a Pentium 100->108mhz
    Then it was a k6-2 350->400/428mhz
    Now it's a k6-2 450->550mhz
    Soon to be a C366->567mhz on a Soyo ZX board
