HELP!!!! Shut Down Probelems
Ok, I've just assembled a computer. Everything was going good until I tried to shup the computer down. After the "It's now safe to shut off the computer" screen comes up, The macine truns off, then the power come back on, then off, then on, then off, then on. I continues doing this forever. I have an IWILL KK266 motherboard and suspect the problem has something to do with the VIA drivers in installed. Has anybody heard of this before!!! I'm stumped.

what operating system are you running? have you tried disabling fast shutdown at all?? is the power supply up to par???
there is a 98SE shutdown patch out there but i dont know if this is what you need also.

I'm running Windows ME. I have a laptop with ME, and fast shut down isn't a prob.

From this forum, click on search. Type:shutdown and restart. You will be amazed at the number of people that have fought this problem. Also there are some good suggestions to try!
