Cool. Sounds like it's all together then?

I too have cable ties. Use 'em frequently.

Yeah, it's ready, but I'm not. It's the first of the month and it's bill paying time, so I have to get that out of the way first. Want to do it for me? LOL

Ah, sorry. I just noticed the IM now. I haven't worked with those extenders before, but you seem to have figured it out.

Now if you could help me with my FireFox problem, I'd be good to go too.

I do have another question about the extender. Reading the instructions today, it said I needed to install it in the room with the modem/router first, to pick up the wifi signal then I could plug it into the wall plug/outlet in the other room. Is this necessary? If I am getting a really strong signal in my room?

Don't know. Give it a try and see what happens?

I had a really odd experience this morning. I took my phone in the bedroom to check using the app you told me about that's on my phone now, at another location in my room, and picked up my brother's HP deskjet printer's wifi, and got a stronger signal than the wifi modem in his room. That's going to hinder my getting wifi to the desktop isn't it?

Depends on how great the interference is. To reduce it, set the printer and modem on two different channels.
