    Talking autorun.dll missing on my Windows Pro

    I have an HP 15 Notebook PC Intel i3-3130M, CPU 2.60GHz 64 bit

    I have Windows 8 Pro but wanted upgrade to Windows 8.1 It won't let me because I keep getting an error message saying my autorun.dll is missing. I found a 64-bit autorun.dll but I keep getting the message that this DLL is not compatible with my OS....Please HELP!!

    run the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe)
