Toshiba Protege battery dead after format , shuts down when ac removed

Hello,
i had to format my Toshiba Protege b-112 and although the battery had no issues before format, now as soon as i remove the AC its shuts down, i first thought it was a better issue and purchased a new batter, but still the same issue.

i have noticed that i am missing some drivers, i am downloading them, but a bit hard to find them.''

i have to mention that the batter indicator stays at 49%, i am assuming some software issue and not a hardware.

might it be cause i have downloaded the bios drivers yet?
