Which LED-monitor-VGA, DVI or HDMi or combinations?

I want to use a new led-monitor on two pcs. maybe havinfg 2x hdmi is for pc and other device like playstation, what else is suitable?
I have a new not yet used vga/usb-switchbox. dvi ones are very expensive.
    should i get 2x hdmi-monitor and use vga-hdmi and dvi-hdmi-adapters?
what will be the problem later when i have only one hdmi?
BENQ GL2450HM has D-Sub-DVI-D with HDCP(dont know) and HDMI

If the monior has 2 HDMI connections, then you could hook 2 computers to it. But I would only run one computer at a time.

Prefer the KVM [keyboard, Video, mouse ] switch route myself.

With the KVM, i could boot all 4 computeers and use the Scroll Lock key to switch between computers.
HDMI is a waste of money in my book. But then I do not watch Blue ray either.
So, VGA is plenty good enough.

I maybe wrong, but 2 computers sending a signal to a monitor at the same time sounds like disaster to me.

Philips 247E4LHSB VGA, 2X HDMI smart contrast 20mio versus
BenQ GL2450HM D-Sub, DVI-D with HDCP, HDMI, dynamic contrast 12 MIO

I would prefer Philips. What is D-Sub for(on BenQ)?

    VGA port'
    http://www.pcmag.com/encyclopedia/te...sub-connectors

And I believe you can change video feed ports on screen'
    .
I suggest seeing if you can find the manual for both first and make sure one can do that.
