    Hey...hey guise...

This place is pretty dead, and it saddens me. But that's pretty much beating a dead horse to point it out anymore.

I'd just like to say "thank you." To everyone here, really. SysOpt was key in getting me involved with information technology. Now I'm a tech for an area ski resort, I've somehow merged my interests with computers into radios and that into programming. Further education is on the horizon, I'm sure. I've finished up an associates in computer systems technology, and some Microsoft certs, but I know I could do better.

I felt like I should say thank you simply because I looked back through my historical postings. I don't even remember half of the ridiculous things I said or did, but the forum sure does. If I were my current self then I would probably have lost all patience and kicked myself out.

So, thank you. Thank you for not rightfully abolishing me. I could only imagine I would have found 4chan sooner, gone full recluse and things would have been very, very different.

Definitely. When I started out most of what I knew was just from trial and error experiments. This place gave me a sense of direction and a better idea of what is what from many good example scenarios.

My only real regret is not getting to see what this place was like at its peak. It was still fairly active when I joined, but not as much so as it had been a few years before. Ah well. I'll still stick around.
