    Cleaning/treating contacts

I have all my pc and drives outside, except external drives. Normally-if not used they are stored in plastic with silica gel.
Sometimes i have no contact anymore and must clean with alcohol.
Should i use contact-spray? And treat all the contacts also those inside cables?

Plug and unplug 3 or 4 times usually cleans contacts enough. And Steve's trick for those items.

I know the pencil-eraser-cleaning? but then i would need a specially shaped one.
how about fiberglass-eraser-pen? I used it for other cleaning-tasks like battery-contacts.

Remember, you do not want to scratch the contacts.

They do have contact cleaners that will do the trick, so ask your fiend for a name.
Been to many years since I bought any.
