How to see old thick 2.5"-HDD?
How can i have access to old thick 19mm 2.5"-hdd? e.g. western digital tidbit 60(62.3mb) WDAH260. XT/AT-compatible

I cannot believe that all of them are empty and not formatted. At least i must see them.

Do the show up in disk management?
If yes, then what is said?

Deactivated winxp
I changed the wrong cable. sata-ide is not working at all. then used ide-bootdrive. using secondary cable(instead of optical drives).
could see drives in cmos.
but at startup, winxp was blocked. i could startup with one of the drive but was very slow.
At the end microsoft deactivated winxp. i cannot reconstruct this behaviour.
Maybe i should have waited longer with the other drives which failed
maybe i should use one of my slower, older pcs. anyway i will stop this action now.
my actions with these older drives were not different from reading the newer thin 12mm- ones. 80mb and 1,3 gb.
winxp was only deactivated when i used the older thick(19mm) ones.

Changed the hardware to many times and yes you will then need to re-activate XP.
Had it happen to me also for the saqme reason.

Still unresolved-cant see data on old 2.5"-drives
I want to get access to data on old thick 2.5" hdds. I attached them the same way i did with the newer ones. But winxp does not see the old ones.

Maybe the problem is drive-manager. Is this the right term? Maybe i puzzled. The manager at start-section. No removable without losing data?

Go into disk manage ment and give it a drive letter. S T U etc. would be good.
