    Active X?

I recently loaded Win 7 on this PC. When I attempt to view the EXIF data on a photo image I receive the following message.
"Active X component can't create object" I tried other EXIF readers but the same problem?
I'm sure some info is missing in the registry or? and I was wondering, if a do a "restore install" will it correct the problem?
I upgraded to IE-9 but the same problem.

I also have Chrome browser installed and if I open with Chrome I don't get the message and the EXIF data is displayed.

In IE go to tools and see if Activ X filtering is enabled.

Nope, that was the first thing I tried but it isn't checked. (kind of obvious).
The very peculiar thing that indicates it's a Windows 7 problem not the browser, ie: I have Win 7 and XP Pro on the same PC (separate partitions) and the EXIF works O.K. in XP but not in 7. That's why I asked if a "restore install" would restore the active X files that are either corrupt or missing?

If that is a 64bit version of Win7, you'll have 2 versions of IE. Try running the 32bit version.
