Video Card recommendation

The wife likes to play Lord Of The Rings Online. She has an ATI x800XT AIW,(AGP) and it will not play with eye candy all the way up at 1440x900.

I have 8800GT (pci-x) and no problems playing all with all settings all the way up.

I have ASROCK mobos's so I can go either AGP or PCI-X (although in PCI the slot is not full speed).

Any way, her cpu is faster then mine, so the only difference is v-card.

I am looking to replace her video card with PCI-X card for future builds.

What would be around the same performance as an 8800 GT these days? I am looking for best bang for the buck. She has e7400 cpu I think (mine is e6400 btw). Looking for a good match, although a faster video card is not a problem even if cpu bottlenecked, as I will build another computer for her someday.

Not to be picky, but it's PCIe (PCI express), not PCI-X. PCI-X is the 64-bit PCI slot. It's easy to get them confused.
