    Windows 7 Permissions Issue

Haven't been here in a while, and will admit I don't quite understand Permissions under Windows 7. Here's the deal, I want to erase totally a couple of drives I pulled out of some old PCs. I connected them to a USB EZ-Dock and was able to format them. Now I want to make sure everything is deleted. I downloaded Eraser, but every time I try I get a message saying " The program does not have the required permissions to erase the unused space on disk. Run the program as an administrator and retry the operation." or "Access to the path 'M:\System Volume Information' is denied." I am the administrator, so this confuses me. I checked the settings for the drive and under Security I have full control.

It seems odd I could format it, but not run the Eraser Program.
