    Unlocking a laptop

I was going to install a upgrade Win7 to my daughters Hitachi Laptop. It has Vista pro on it. I dont know what she was thinking. But she changed the alministrator password to something she cant seem to remember. How can I remove the password or get into the area to remove the pass word completely? Any help will be appreciated i advance. Thank you.

In theory you know we can't help with quesitons like this... It defeats the purpose of having passwords Google on the other hand probably can help.

Maybe I should ask another way......

Ok well then let me ask this another way. Is there a way or software that I can use to extract drivers from my laptop that has a disabled hard drive?

Hitachi.com should have the drivers. They are also on the cd that came with the machine

I don't understand that question. As far as changing your daughter's password goes, here you are:

    http://lmgtfy.com/?q=recover+password+

Hint: the tool you need starts with "nt".
