    Missing codecs? not sure

Am having an issue with no sound in two particular games i have. One is 'Bulletstorm' and the other is 'Homefront'. Both of these the opening of the games the music and cinematic intros play then as soon as they enter the actual game.., sounds, including speech, i get zip for sound.

Just now i figured i may be missing some codecs or some such so i searched on Google and found one i installed ; the MS 3.4 codec pack, which states it plays 90 plus percent of all etc..

    Anything else to add here?

if you have already installed CCCP 2010-10-10 (http://www.cccp-project.net/ ) then you already have all the necessary codecs to play anything you ever found online.

if you don't yet have CCCP installed, then try it.

if you are still having problem playing out those formats even with CCCP installed, chances are those are custom application extensions and encoding, in which you'll have to figure what software they came from, to install them and get the proper codec to play them.
