    Install Win95 without DOS

    Need to install a Win95 on an old PC for a test instrument. The only Win95 I have wants a dos installation to continue. I have Win31 and WFW but no DOS. Please help.

    You are not required to install DOS before installing Windows95. DOS gets installed with the Win95 setup. It is an integral part of Win95, allocating memory and device drivers for 16 bit programs.

    I wonder if your not using a W95 floppy boot disk? Or is this an W95 upgrade CD ?

    if i may ask, how old is the computer?

    you might be better off with a light version of Linux instead, it'll run much faster and have more Apps to choose from
