WiFi Broadcast channel

Quick question. I have three wireless routers set up in bridge mode to cover my house. All have same SSID, WPA2+PSK etc. DHCP is managed by my cable modem. At the moment I have them set to the recommended 5 channel separation, on three different channels 1,6 and 11.

Should all wireless routers be set to the same channel in this configuration or should they be left as they are (or does it matter).

Even though transmission is defined by a single frequency number. There is No single number transmission, there is always a band, and the frequency used to define the signal is the middle of the band.

When using 1, 6, & 11 you have three channels that are not overlapping in their bands. The other channels do.

Over lapping means interfering Noise, low Signal to noise ration is more important than signal strength. (http://www.ezlan.net/wbars.html)

So yeah, 3 different channels, otherwise the APs reduce the signal between them due the "noising" one the other.
