Outlook 2010 beta / Office 2007 not working

Ok I know I should have put the beta on a seperate partition... Yeah yeah I know. I have to learn the hard way I guess.

Well now my office outlook 2007 will not work. Error message...

Cannot open your default email folders. Outlook cannot start becausea data file to send and recieve mail cannot be found. To add a data file, such as a personal folder file, double click the mail icon in windows control panel.

Well I did all that and I also tried to add my profile back and nothing is working. How do i fix this?

    Need some help here.

Thanks guys. YES I HAVE PAINFULLY LEARNED MY LESSON !!

Haven't tried that combo, but did you try uninstalling both and reinstalling 2007?

Next time, put beta software on a test machine or a VM. At the very least, make a backup of your system before you install new software.

    yeah I know...

I didn't think it would trash my outlook the way it did and judging by postings by others out there, neither did they. There is a LOT of people in the same boat I am. I'm purchasing a copy of 2010 this weekend and installing it, and HOPE and PRAY it will fix everything.

    Lesson learned the HARD WAY!!

I'll let you know how it goes.

    Thanks Mid!
