Avi-files crashes windows mediaplayer 9-winxp
On my SATA-winxp-system avi-videofiles from my digicam are crashing windows mediaplayer 9 no matter on which drive/partition they are located, e.g. cardreader, external usb-drive, partition. no matter from which camera.

Stark Raving MOD
Did you download the proper codecs? Why are you using WMP anyway?
Try VLC or Media Player Classic instead.

good question. tried to go away from wmp but, i need
1. a similar one with the same options to change videoquality.
2. slow motion.
sometimes if can set it sometimes not. sometimes i can see the option sometimes not.
on my slow pc wmp11 is the wrong idea.
3. some formats cannot be seen. i dont want to convert e.g. flv -files or mp4.
ok will try again all those.
maybe it has to do with slow startup. did all possible "repairs". a new install of the systemparition seems a good step.
my problem: no time to do a complete hdd-replacement. its a 320gb-hdd.
thanks

btw: both alternatives didnt work.
ACE Mega CodecS Pack
Had to uninstall Theorica Divx(afterwards worked)
on my ide-drive wmp11 is installed.
2. How do i run slow-motion? WMP 11 and 9
Should i open a new thread?
