During deep sleep IT came to me and the future of processing is clear.
Future processors will primarily be digital tuning radios acting as grid computing nodes.
    Voila. See ya in hell.

Coming back here every so often, brings me back to younger and more enjoyable days. Trouble shooting, tweaking more classic computer hardware. This forum made me feel connected to real people with a real passion to help an joke around. Reminds me of how much more patience I had back then. Wait for my pc to dialup to the interwebs to check for the newest port or to be the newest post with a new exciting topic...

    Checking in...

Sixty four years olde and finally got a full-time gig. What kind of crazy company signs on a 64-year old as FT with benefits? A desperate one! Screw 'em. They worked me like a mule for 9 years with no benefits. It's payback time! I'll milk this until they carry me out or I win a little Lotto.

    Hope you're all well.

P.S. That Windows 10 upgrade is still free - and updated with all patches - here:

One who knows they've found one that knows what he's talking about and how to do it.

My first computer job, I was 55 years old at the time. I was hired because I couldn't stop trying to fix the computers in the that were already in the shop.

When my then boss quit, I asked him why, he said it was because he found someone who knew more about computers than him, and I said who was that, and he said you.

It made me feel good because he was a Dell man for many years. I lived just 10 miles from Dells main build site.

I had to re-register to get back in. Just wanted to say that I joined back in 2002 because of BipolarBill.
This forum was the first place I came every morning. I learned so much from everyone here that people started coming to me with their computer issues. I should have hung up a shingle, but I loved computers so much I just couldn't charge anyone for my time.

Good to see so many names again!

    I'm here

Always sad to see old forums start to whither away with inactivity.
