All google links changed to results5.google.com hijack
I've done scans and read that it's a router issue. I changed my router username and pass twice and have since stopped letting browser save router login. I also released and renewed my ip in the router settings and have had no luck. The thing is this comes and goes at random. I can search on google like normally, then sit back down and all the links on a google search change to results5.google.com without even refreshing the page. I've also noticed the my laptop isn't affected in the least which leads me to believe this is something internal and not router based even though that's a common solution for some lucky folks.
Windows XP and this is my hijack this log:

There are a bunch of nasties there. Analyse yourself here:
http://www.hijackthis.de/
Better yet, scan with either Superantispyware or MalwareBytes:
http://www.superantispyware.com/
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
You have been a member here for some time now, frodo. You should be doing this stuff before coming here for help by now.
-
Haha, good old Bill where would we be without you? Yeah I normally do get this stuff off easy most of the time. This time though, Malwarebytes didn't find anything and a few others I use merely complained about cookies and misidentified a few things I use.
I didn't know about that web analyzer, thanks a lot. I scanned and almost everything was normal save for the nameserver issue towards the bottom of the log which I noticed before I posted this. I was just gonna ask what the default nameserver stuff is supposed to be before I changed those entries.
It looks like superantispyware may have found it though, I haven't come across this thanks!
-
All seems to be well now like I hoped it would be. It was the nameserver issue,

All the more reason to pay for one of those spyware programs and have it running all of the time...
-
Hey.
This is my first time ever of registering with a site like this but I figured its probably for the best.
I have recently started to have the same problem described above.
I have run the hijackthis program as is so often suggested and the log file goes thusly:

As you can see, I am running a few anti-virus programs. To deal with this problem i have tried running Malewarebytes, Superantispyware, Trojan Remover, CWShredder and the Avast Boot-time scan all in safe mode but to no avail. I have also restored the factory settings on my router.
At the moment, my internet is behaving itself, if a acting a little slow.
If there is any help you can give me then please let me know as I'm a bit stuck with this one.
I have had a number of viruses in the past and have managed to sort them out (or at least I hope I have) but if you can find anything in the log file that appears wrong, any further assistance would be greatly welcomed.
Thanking you in advance
