    Laptop LCD screen half blank

I've had this issue for a long time on one of my old laptops, decided I might try to fix it up. The upper half of the screen is fine, but the bottom half is blank, blurred, distorted or white sometimes. There are pressure points on the side of the screen if I push them just right the screen will work fine. Obviously I can't be pushing them all the time though, but sometimes I can rig the casing with toothpicks or something to put pressure on those places to work for a while. Never lasts very long though. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like you are going to need a new LCD.
