    Changing suffixes en bloc.

I have several books, health oriented of course, stored in my PC and when I first wrote it the chapters were labelled chap1.gh, chap2.gh etc.
The modern apps won't read the book at all but when I did rename one as chap*.doc it was readable.
Can I do this on all the files at once? Other way is to sit here and change all 50 chapters one by one!
    Not to be lightly undertaking.
