help for Lexmark 3500-4500
A friend has bought a new Win7 system and wants to connect their Lexmark 3500-4500 printer to it.
The printer looks to be installed wirelessly as it is sitting in a room by itself, no PC's anywhere near it.
Apparently his wife's daughter had a friend do the install but she can't find any installation CD's or documentation.
I've tried the lexmark.ca website but can only find drivers, not the install CD or a manual that explains the process. I did find a user guide but it is pretty much devoid of any usefull information.
Anyone know where I can find the CD and related documentation?

Have you checked Lexmark for a driver download?
And have the correct model number, but if it is a old model, there well may not be any drivers.

Here is Windows 7 32 bit driver for that printer: (about 85MB)

Thanks for the driver links. My biggest issue is an installation CD. I don't see the printer as a device on the network so there must be something on the CD that will help me add it. Or something in a manual or other document that will describe how to add another PC to use the printer.

The model appears to be X4580.
I have never installed a wireless printer before. I know how to connect one to a PC and then network the other PC's to use it. How does a networked printer connect to PC's in the network?

The Getting Started and the User Guide should say how to do it.

The guide says to install on additional network computers insert the installation CD in each computer and follow the instructions.
Is there somewhere I can download a copy of the installation CD?

Just use the drive bruceb linked you to.
All I do after burning it to a cd.

Worked like a charm. Thanks

Glad you got it working. Now do yourself a favor and be sure to save a copy of those files
on a CD or USB memory stick and also in a folder on your computer's drive.

I have burned a CD with all of the available drivers for that printer.
