    Smile sata DVD error 10

    I recently bought a Sony ATA DVD for my ABit NF7-S2G and installed it. It came up as Secondary IDE Master and worked fine. But when I rebooted, it vanished and looking at hardware system and right clicking on properties it showed error 10. I uninstalled and rebooted, and allowed the software on the Sony CD to be reinstalled...no good. I cannot get it to work any more. Beyond my pay grade. Any help for an old duffer out there?
