    how to set default media player

    ISSUE: setting defaultt media player

    DISCUSSION: i want to chanage the media player to be opened when a webpage (radio) is selected. It is set to automatically open real player; want to alter it to auto. open with another media player(winamp or windows media player).

    QUESTION: how do i change the auto opening media player selection?

    Open media player, then go into the menu>options, File type tab and select what you want media player to play.

    tx..went there-did that- real player (vs microsoft med. player) still opens automatically when website contacted.

    Maybe website has real player embedded to automatically open (and reject other players)?? if so-any way to counter that, so windows medica player will open?

    There is some sort of "how to fake out Real Player" type software but it still won't open Win Media...if it a Real Player file

    how can u tell (a) if a media player is embedded in a webcast and (b) if so-which one it is??

    The easiest solution is to uninstall Real Player, which suits me just fine, since I prefer anything to RP. It might help if you tell us exactly what website and radio station your wanting to play.
