Have you tried coping the Address book etc to a CD then importing from that?
Sometimes that works better.
I am thinking you will have to put them in manually the 1st time then back them up to a .pst file after.
OE has always been a pain to deal with from my experience.
Although if one already had OE installed and then installed Outlook then Outlook would find it and import durning the setup.

At one point we managed to get the .WAB entries into the CONTACTS directory on the c: drive. Each individual entry is a seperate .CON file and Outlook will only import them one at a time. Since there are a couple of hundred of them it is not a viable option. Trying to find another solution.

Have you tried importing them into the Windows mail program then to Outlook?
Windows mail will import OE Contacts and mail etc.
Outlook 2007 should be able to import them from there.

I think it was Live Mail that created the CONTACTS folder but we were trying a lot of different approaches. I can't be sure.

It's Windows Mail that will work.
It will take all the Contacts, messages and settings.

We were able to get the email. The address book appears to be handled differently

Try to export it to Outlook or save it then import it.

So the plan is:
- use MS Live Mail to IMPORT the .WAB
- use MS Live Mail to EXPORT as .CSV
- use Outlook to 'Import from another program or file
--select 'Comma Seperated Values (Windows)'
Correct?
