how to block or delete a website photo

Does anyone know how or what utility can be used to block out or remove a photo from a website.
I detest seeing unending pictures of obama on my news websites. Is there anyway to click on the pictures to block or remove them? Thanks very much.

What browser are you using? You could use Firefox with Adblock plus to block out certain parts.

Careful what you say about Obama. You never know who's reading. haha

Hi: I use the three majors browsers for different purposes; Explorer 8, Chrome and Firefox.
I read lots of news online sites and wish to block out certain photos which are highly obnoxious. Presently, I just open a smallish browser window and move it on top of the target photo to block it.
I was hoping there was some utility that would block, zap or black out the photo just by clicking on it.
I don't wish to eliminate all photos on a page but just specific annoying ones.

    Thanks for your assistance.

Did you try Adblock plus or not? You can add Element Hiding Helper to create filters.
