What Modem Program (VT100 terminal) do you use now?

Vista does not include Hyper Terminal. I used Hyper Terminal in the past to dial into a VT100 phone system to perform phone extension maintenance.

In the past I could save a .ht file and use it to open Hyper Terminal and it would be configured to dial-up my phone system. I copied Hyper Terminal from an XP machine and Vista says the file is invalid so I have to manually reset-up my call every time.

I do not want to purchase a program yet. In the past we used ProComm Plus.

Is there any open source alternative that you folks use? I tried searching source forge but came up mostly with telnet applications.

This has a trial period (cost if about $55 to buy) and will work in Vista

I was hoping for some open source. We are on a purchase freeze at the moment.

Hyperterminal copied from XP works Ok but i have to manually enter numbers every time. It will work until I can purchase something or find an alternative.
