    A question for Avira users

Latest donation received (XP Home for now) is loaded with malware. I thought this would be a good time to try Avira. I have run it twice and each time it came up with more detections. Before running it a third time, is this normal? Does Avira work in the background scanning at bootup for problems or do you have to run daily scans after each pc use? Thanks

Avira runs actively in the background, but you should really be using Superantispyware or Malwarebytes to check for spyware.

If it's a "donation" system, I'd just wipe the darn thing.
