usb trouble
i noticed one of my pc's is giving me usb trouble. im trying to install a printer but it doesnt detect the printer at all.
not sure if its overloaded, keyboard and mouse are ps2, and i already have 1 printer using a usb port
i tried reinstalling the usb drivers, updated bios, made sure everything was enabled in start up, any other suggestions?

You've told us nothing about the printer. Is it new or used? Brand/model?
Have you tried a different cable? Is the printer power turned on?
If you have other working USB devices on this PC, the problem is not USB per se. It's more likely a printer or cable problem.

What details appear in Device Manager?
I will assume you are using XP, so Start > Control Panel > System > select the "Hardware Tab" and then select "Device Manager"

What OS are you running? I'll guess XP for now.
If you plugged in the printer before loading the drivers, it could be a "phantom" device. Remove the printer and make sure to install the drivers first.

Normal for strange things like that happen with USB.
