    Post DST

My laptop XP Home does not update the time properly at time.windows.com.

    It is 1 hour slow.

It is correct in the BIOS, the time zone is correct, and the DST box is checked.

My desktop XP Home is fine.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Did you install all the windows updates for DST?

Run windows updates and see if it finds anything you missed.

Windows time and BIOS time should always be the same. BIOS time is the one thing that Windows is allowed to change freely. You need to double-check because they should not be different.

MK is right. There was a Windows Update for the earlier DST start that you should have gotten before last March.

Thanks for the replies. It must be an update issue because I haven't updated anything since SP3. And yes, the BIOS is also 1 hour slow. I think it was correct when I checked earlier only because I had manually changed the time through "Adjust Date/Time".

The DST patch came out about 15 months ago....So there's no telling what went wrong.

You should have Automatic Updates enabled.

If you change the BIOS time, it won't "stick" and will revert as soon as you boot into Windows because Windows updates the time via Internet:
