Remote home audio with a pc?

I'm doing some remodeling and will be opening walls so I can locate speakers and run wires where needed. I have a spare p4 pc. What can I use to operate the remote stereo that will work with the pc? Wireless? Blue tooth? RF? I just need a basic starting direction.

    Thanks.

I should also describe the equipment

Starting eqiupment- Pioneer home theater tuner/ squeeze box/ jbl floor speakers/ 15 year old sony multi cd player-----all these IR controlled.

Planning to- move the eqipment to basement. Add speakers to 2 or 4 rooms.

I am willing to spend money on good hardware, but I am a value buyer.
    Thanks.

I have this. Does a great job. You'll need to connect your PC to what ever, stereo, tv, etc.

Hi- I didn't mean to abandon this post, my regular computer lost contact with the internet I had to get my backup computer up and running, on top of removing wallpaper and a bunch of other real life stuff. I'm still on track for the remodel, I just haven't gotten to researching the audio controls. Soon I hope. Kitchens coming monday, contractor wednesday floor on thurs. u know what I mean?

Here's my cry for help thread.
