    Question MSI MS-6339 850 Pro Pentium 4 - RAM

I'd like to be sure that the RIMM Samsung MR16R1628AF0-CK8 are suitable for the motherboard of my pc that's a MSI MS-6339 850 Pro Pentium 4.

    Memory
    4 x RIMM Sockets
Dual Channel RDRAM Support: Max. 2GB PC800/PC600 ECC/non-ECC RDRAM Memory
    Max. Transfer Speed 3.2GB/s

You can read more details on the motherboard here http://hardware.earthweb.com/chips/article.php/620851

    Kind regards

For what it will cost you for RDRAM, you should really consider a system upgrade. You should be able to find a P4 motherboard that uses DDR and supports your CPU. You can find them on eBay and other auction sites.

Anyway, your motherboard should support any RDRAM modules out there because there were so few made in a short time span before the manufacturer's abandoned it.

Anything but PC1066, anyhow. That's good, since 1066 is the most expensive RDRAM still available - I speak from experience, having bought some for my son a couple of birthdays ago.

You're better off buying/building new. No matter how fast you make the highway you're still driving a single-core processor.
Thank God we're not getting all of the government we're paying for!
