    noisy system - recommendations

my socket 462 system is getting quite noisy. Just replaced failing psu and it still is noisy. I was wondering where should I pick up some fans for cheap. Ie 120 mm case fan 80 mm fan or cpu cooler fan. I don't really need to replace the heatsink just some of the fans. Not sure which is the loudest but I'd like a source for inexpensive fans (quiet).

    Thanks

the bigger fans tend to be quieter, since they can spin at a lower rpm for the same amount of airflow.

    You want inexpensive, or quiet?
Thank God we're not getting all of the government we're paying for!

Antec Tricool fans do the trick for me. Under $15 for the 120's if i remember right.

Might even want to think about moding [modifying] the case for better air flow too.

You could just get a fan controller to tune the rpms or try Speedfan.

    For Socket A (462) HSF's, I still use Masscool's 80mm HSF's , they run quite , cool and are inexpensive.

A better option to the Masscool is a Zalman

One of the fans has a definite problem so it needs to be replaced. I just need to focus on where the sound is coming from. Its intermittant so its annoying to troubleshoot.

thanks for all the suggestions so far.

These fans, while a tad more costly, are extremely quiet.
