    wifi off a lan cable?

i've run a cat5 cable from my broadband router out to a building 100 feet away, and can connect to my network without problems. what i would like to do also is to enable wifi in this building. can i simply plug the lan cable into a wireless access point or other device? i have a spare wireless router, linksys wag54g, would this do the trick? i tried going wireless all the way but even with the latest spec n1 the signal was too weak.

You should get a good signal to the router to get wireless working.

Did you ground the ethernet wire or maybe run it through a conduit under ground? You do not want to create a possible lightning rod for storms to hit the wires.

yes, underground conduit all the way.

so how do i actually connect it, the lan cable is a normal rj45, do i just plug it into one of a routers network ports and power it up?
