Boot up Problems
I am working on a Gigabyte motherboard and there is a problem that I think might be the mobo. It has an AMD 17+ cpu 1 gig of ddr 2 optical drives, 3.5 floppy and 2 hdd's. I replaced the psu with a new antec 430 watt and upgraded the memory to 1 gig because the old memory was bad.
What's happing is similar to the below post. After shutting the computer down it will not power all the way up. The dvd burner and the hdd activity led are on constantly and there is no power to the NIC and no video and the cpu fanning is running.
If I Turn it off and one about 25 times it will boot up and run fine with the exception of a blue screen every now and then. As long as its hot you can shut it down and it will boot up. once it cools down thats it. It won't boot back up unless you do as I stated above.
While it is in the state that I mentioned I have taken out all the pci cards the memory and unhooked the optical drives and the hdd's and the mobo will not beep at me and it should.
Does anyone have any Input as to what they think it might be.

Thanks for bringing that back to memory Midknyte. That's the problem and there they were just about where they're always at. Right around the CPU looks like there is about 5 or 6 bad ones.
I appreciate the help problem solved.
