IRQ driver error
Receiving this error when attempting to burn a DVD. Note that it does get about halfway through the burn before blue screening on me.
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup options, and then select Safe Mode.

Beginning dump of physical memory.
Physical memory dump complete.
Contact your system administrator or technical support group for further assistance.
Now, the reason why I was trying to burn a DVD was because I was going to do my yearly reformat/reinstall of windows and I was attempting to burn my copy.
Any assistance is appreciated, thank you.

nvata.sys sounds like the nvidia chipset driver. update the chipset drivers.
need more details about your system, though. more specifically, the motherboard.

Brand: Gigabyte
Model No.: GA-K8N-SLI
This is an nforce4 board

so it definitely is an nvidia chipset. update the drivers and see what happens.

nvata.sys
This is the Nvidia sata/raid driver and is a known issue. Try updating this driver from your mobo manufacturers website.
Maybe something here will help out.

Updated the Nvidia chipset driver.
Burn got further down completion then bluescreened again.
I will retrieve the drivers from my manufacturer's site and try that next.
What sucks is that the only way to test this is to keep burning through DVDs.
Edit: Is this an IRQ conflict?

i doubt it's an irq conflict.
you should get the drivers from the nvidia website. you didn't say which os, but i'll guess xp.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_nf4_win2k_6.86.html
you should uninstall the chipset drivers, boot to safe mode and run driver sweeper, then install the new drivers.

There are no "IRQ conflicts" anymore ever since the departure of ISA slots.
It's a driver crash, plain and simple - and from the bluescreen, it appears to be NVidia's storage driver.
